Simply put, any sort of pain is seen in Oriental medicine as a blockage. So, just like a damned up stream, our bodies can manifest “unflowing tendancies.” And yes, when energy is not moving for any reason it does hurt! Pain can be physical or emotional, caused by all sorts of reasons. Depending on the sort of pain and its location, a good clinician can source the cause so it may be treated successfully and eliminated. It is easy to see how a trauma can cause both energy and blood to stagnate. However, for those new to the concepts of Oriental medicine, it may not be so easy to understand how a deficiency of energy (or substance like a vitamin) can cause a little stream to not have adequate flow and just trickle to a halt. At Hidden Well we can assess and effectively treat many types of pain inexpensively and without medicine. Let’s explore some types of pain and then help you understand how we may go about treating it.
